Single Turn Wave Spring

Single-turn wave springs are used for several applications, mainly designed for short deflection and low to medium forces. Technology enables to provide a dependable and accurate fit.

The free ends of a wave spring with either gap or overlap type are allowed for the spring outside diameter grows during compression, which if constrained in a bore prevents binding of comparable stamped wave washers, this design has dramatically improved the fatigue resistance and lifetimes. Thus reduces costs effectively.

Basically there are two types of Single turn wave spring: "The Gap Type" and "The Overlap Type"

The Gap Type: As its name implies there is a small gap in the wave circumference. And the overlap type are two ends of the material strip lay on the top of each other.

    Multi Turn Wave Springs with Shim Ends

    TSMC Multi Turn Wave springs are available with squared-shim ends. In comparison to the plain ends, this shim ends enables contact pressures to be more evenly distributed across all the contact surface. Ideal when uniform force distribution and/or rotational pressure is required over 360°.The characteristics of Shim ends is similar to a concept of double-disc grinding springs for a flat surface as the flat end surface allow a consistent distribution of the spring forces, therefore an indentation of the wave heights while mounting parts is avoided thus eliminate an assembly step.TSMC Multi-turn wave springs include plain-end (wavy) and shim-ends (flat) types. Both types are normally used in low force applications with large deflections which are particularly useful for extremely compact installations and in application where weight needs to be minimized.

    An Interlaced Wave Spring is consisted of two wave springs with similar thickness, amplitude and frequency. The two constituent wave springs are combined together by interlacing them so that the spring turns of each spring abut other for substantially the length of the Interlaced Spring.This design can increase the thickness of the spring each turn to provide a greater load and gives a greater fatigue resistance property.

    Nested Wave Springs

    Nested Wave Springs is similar to several springs are stacked together to achieve a high load effect. But different to tradition, we directly coiled and stacked layers of flat wire to achieve high accuracy and high load. Under the action of pressing down, the inner diameter and external diameter will become larger and can move freely in the circumferential direction, which greatly improves the fatigue resistance and increases the service life. In many applications, Nested Wave Springs can replace disk spring.
